Component Technologies, founded in 1981, is headquartered in Newington, CT. This is a modern 25,000 square foot metal finishing facility that is ISO 9001:2015/AS 9100-D and NADCAP certified. Parts we process include fragile and delicate parts, precision machined components, stampings, powder metal, and deep drawn parts. We specialize in functional engineered plating processes, using both rack and bulk methods. All of the parts we process have documented lot and LOAD CONTROL.

Technical Team
Fred J. Viggiano Jr. – Fred is president of CTI, and is one of the co-founders of the company. He is a graduate of Boston College, with a bachelor’s degree in Economics and of the University of Hartford where he received his Master of Business Administration in 1978. Prior to founding CTI he held financial and operational analysis positions at several large companies including CIGNA and Pratt & Whitney Aircraft.
Lynn Do – Lynn is a graduate of the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. She is vice president of manufacturing for CTI and has spent twenty five years in the Metal Finishing industry. Lynn has a vast experience of application knowledge that allows CTI to plate many different types of parts consistently and successfully.
Laurie Do – Laurie is the treasurer of CTI and the Facilities manager. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Connecticut and has held many positions at CTI including quality, process development, and manufacturing. Laurie has spent over twenty years with the company. Laurie’s hands-on approach to the business is a valuable asset.
Thomas Carmody – Tom is a graduate of The University of New Haven with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. He has spent more than thirty years in the Metal Finishing business. He has worked in Research and Development for MacDermid Chemical and held the position of Technical Director for Victory Finishing.
Larry Hutnick – Larry is former vice president of sales. He has over 30 years of metal finishing experience including processes of tumbling, cleaning, buffing, blasting, and other mechanical finishing processes. His electroless nickel experience includes selling and servicing electroless nickel chemistry for the OMG Fidelity Chemical Company.
